Snowman’s nose

Our 2025 Christmas card has been designed to live on long after it’s been opened. Printed on plantable paper embedded with carrot seeds, it can be planted, watered and grown into something genuinely useful once its job as a card is done.

As everyone nose, a little bit of orange is never far from our Christmas celebrations, and this year is no exception. But beyond the festive fun, this card is about rethinking what a Christmas card can be, something to interact with, reuse and enjoy, rather than something that’s quickly forgotten.

Instead of being tucked into a drawer or recycled in January, this card gets another role to play. It becomes part of a longer story, turning a simple seasonal gesture into an experience that unfolds over time.

The illustrations were created using traditional lino-cut techniques. Snowflakes, stars and the slow growth of a carrot were all hand-carved and printed, embracing the charm of analogue making. The result is something tactile, imperfect and intentionally human, a reflection of the care that went into its creation.

By giving the card a second life, we’ve turned a familiar tradition into something more playful and memorable. One that rewards patience, curiosity and a bit of watering.

True to form, this year’s card is already thinking ahead to Christmas 2026. Recipients are invited to plant the card and grow extra-orange carrots, ideal for next year’s snowman… or, more realistically, a really good roast dinner.

It’s a light-hearted idea, but one rooted in thoughtfulness. A small reminder that good design can last beyond the moment it’s received, celebrating the long-term relationships we’re proud to grow together.
