Behind the camera with LOROS and Serge Pizzorno

Leicester rock royalty Serge Pizzorno from Kasabian has joined the herd! Under his artistic alias Daft-apeth, Serge has designed a top-secret elephant for the Stomp Round Leicester art trail – and it was a joy capturing these moments.

After a moving visit to LOROS Hospice, meeting staff and patients from across services, Serge said: “I found it simply breathtaking. From the receptionists to the physios to the healthcare assistants, everyone works to make families feel cared and loved. They make the most difficult part of your life as easy as possible. It’s one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen.”

Serge was inspired to create his brilliant design as a heartfelt thank you for the incredible care both his and other families have received at LOROS.

Clare Bloomfield LOROS Hospice Leicester said: “Our five foot elephants are probably one of the bigger canvases Serge has designed. His art is quirky and fun, and we can’t wait to see where his imagination has taken him!”

“We’re also hoping Serge’s involvement will open up the trail to lots of people who show their support and make a donation to LOROS Hospice. Serge really cares about all things Leicester and LOROS is a big part of that.”

His design will remain under wraps until the trail launches on 14th July, but trust us – it’s going to be a truly trunk-tastic! We are looking forward to seeing the elephants out in the wild. Make sure you visit the trail and support LOROS Hospice and the amazing work they do.

The Stomp Round Leicester trail starts on 14th July – join the herd!
