The Grape Escape

We’ve been working with London St. Pancras Highspeed to create The Grape Escape, a new campaign encouraging travellers to swap the city for the Kent countryside and discover the growing world of English wine.

The campaign brings together London St. Pancras Highspeed, Southeastern, Silverhand Estate, Searcys and Produced in Kent, highlighting just how easy it is to turn a journey from the station into a great day out.

Rather than simply showcasing the vineyard, we wanted the creative to capture the experience of escaping. Inspired by the golden age of railway travel, the illustration style takes cues from the vintage rail posters that once encouraged generations to discover new destinations. We’ve given that visual language a contemporary feel, creating something that feels sophisticated, inviting and relevant to today’s traveller.

The illustration tells the story of the entire journey, bringing together the key moments and landmarks along the route. At its heart is a group of friends relaxing amongst the vineyard, enjoying a glass of wine. An aspirational scene designed to make people imagine themselves making the same escape.

From the railway journey to the rolling Kent countryside and the vineyard itself, every element works together to communicate that this experience is closer and easier to reach than you might think.

A key part of the campaign was changing perceptions of what a vineyard experience looks like. Rather than feeling like a weekend away or a complicated journey, The Grape Escape positions Kent as an effortless day trip from the heart of London.

The campaign is now live across London St. Pancras Highspeed and partner channels, spanning digital screens, print, social and digital advertising, as well as Searcys and Southeastern touchpoints.

Alongside the campaign, London St. Pancras Highspeed is also bringing the experience to life through influencer content and a competition offering the chance to win a Grape Escape of your own.
